Working for a bank means constantly innovating and facing new challenges. No bank can afford to be left behind because the competition in the market is tough. In this project we introduced innovations related to Open Banking idea and its key item “Application Programming Interfaces” (APIs)

Open Banking is the process of opening the internal services provided by the banks to the outside with a standard common to all the banks. Is based on the idea that open, consensual access to consumers’ bank account data benefits them and supports competition in the market. Right now this idea is transforming banking around the world.
As few competitors already do, Liberbank wanted to provide a secure way for third parties to access customer banking information. Users should be able to consolidate all their information about their accounts at other banks, cards and other products directly from their Liberbank account if they want to. This means that someone can add another bank's account to the Liberbank interface and execute some operations directly from that other account.

We have created an interactive prototype of the transfer process from an added bank account. The transfer can be initiated by selecting the added bank account or through the operations page. Recently added options have been marked with the "new" flag. Later the user performs the transfer as usual, in the last step the user has to log in to the other bank account and confirm the transfer. We tested with users who have added other bank accounts the whole process taking into account naming, sequence of steps, visibility of error messages and overall experience.

New visual line
One of the projects we worked on was refreshing the UI of a banking application. We introduced a lot of material design elements, delicate gradients and more colors. We added some UX improvements such as clear income indication on the list of bank operations (amount in green and a + sign) to make them easier to find. The most important operations are available from the main screen, those that are used less often open on a separate layer when the user clicks on the button with the "more" icon. We have also added expense statistics with categories: food, entertainment, transportation, shopping etc.
